Aussie of the Month
Each month one student from each level of the school – Junior, Middle & Senior - is selected to receive the Aussie of the Month Award.
The Award acknowledges outstanding performance in such areas as: Behaviour, Work Effort and Social Interaction with others.
Photographs of the students are displayed on the House Team boards and on our Facebook page and a certificate and badge is presented to them at School Assemblies. Each student also earns 100 points for their House team.

Harriet Sanders 5/6KW
Harriet consistently demonstrates our school values through her respectful, kind and helpful interactions with others. She is a responsible and trustworthy student who consistently makes positive choices and takes ownership of her learning and behaviour. Harriet approaches challenges with a positive, resilient attitude, working hard to overcome obstacles and show her best. She contributes positively to class discussions and helps create a safe and supportive learning environment for all. Her approachable, caring, empathetic and friendly nature makes her a valued member of our class and a wonderful friend. Congratulations Harriet on being a very deserving recipient of Aussie of the Month.
Zoe Gonzalez 1/2K
Zoe is a kind and friendly member of 1/2K who always arrives at school with a smile on her face. She consistently demonstrates our school values through her kind, respectful and responsible nature, both in the classroom and on the school yard.
Zoe is always ready to face challenges with determination and never gives up, even when things may get tricky. She tries her very best and takes pride in her learning. She is always ready to lend a helping hand or offer supportive and encouraging words to her classmates. Her kindness and positive attitude make our classroom a happier place. Zoe, you are a wonderful role model for your classmates and make a positive difference to those around you. It is an absolute pleasure to teach you, and you should be very proud of the person you are!
Diesel Jewers 3/4HG
Diesel is a kind and inclusive member of the St Mary’s school community. He is thoughtful and considerate of others, often making compromises to ensure those he is playing with can enjoy and have fun in their game. Diesel wants the best for all members of his class and school community and is always willing to support and encourage those around him. He is a quiet and reflective student who often offers a different perspective or insight that may not have been considered by others. Diesel is always happy to have a chat and shares his thoughts with an open heart.
Diesel is responsible for his learning and consistently tries his best across all lessons. He is willing to give new tasks, ideas and experiences a go and responds positively to feedback, using it to further develop his learning. Diesel reliably models our school values in the classroom, playground and wider community. His friendly smile and approachable nature make him a valued member of our school community, and his genuine care for others is evident in the way he interacts with his peers and teachers.
