Aussie of the Month
Each month one student from each level of the school – Junior, Middle & Senior - is selected to receive the Aussie of the Month Award.
The Award acknowledges outstanding performance in such areas as: Behaviour, Work Effort and Social Interaction with others.
Photographs of the students are displayed on the House Team boards and on our Facebook page and a certificate and badge is presented to them at School Assemblies. Each student also earns 100 points for their House team.

Vaiva is a kind, caring and compassionate member of 1/2LB. She always comes to school with a smile on her face and a bright and happy demeanour. Vaiva always listens attentively, and approaches all tasks with enthusiasm and focus, striving to do her best. Vaiva actively participates in classroom discussions sharing thoughtful insights and considered responses. She is a thoughtful and caring class member who treats everyone with respect and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. Her positive attitude and consistent effort inspire those around her to do their best. Whether working independently or as part of a team, Vaiva approaches every task with determination and integrity. Her genuine warmth and commitment make her not only a valued classmate but also a wonderful role model for others
Harry is a kind and thoughtful member of our 3/4W classroom. He always comes to school with a positive attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn. Harry approaches every task with curiosity and determination, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to his classmates and teachers, showing great care and respect for others. His polite manners and friendly nature make him a joy to have in the classroom. Harry truly embodies the St. Mary’s spirit with his hard work, kindness, and bright enthusiasm. Keep up the excellent work, Harry!
Leda is a shining example of leadership, dedication, and resilience. She consistently demonstrates respect for her classmates and teachers and approaches every challenge with a positive attitude and determination to succeed. As the leader of the school choir, Leda inspires others with her enthusiasm and teamwork. Her creativity and initiative also shine through her role as chief editor of the school newspaper, a project that exists thanks to her vision and encouragement for staff and students to make it a reality. In addition to her academic excellence and willingness to give everything a go, Leda has proudly represented our school in both the swimming and athletics teams, showing great sportsmanship and persistence. Leda’s kindness, reliability, and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact on our school community, and she is an outstanding role model for her peers.
