On the last day of term, our committee members presented Mrs Riccardi and the school community with the funds we raised through all our activities and events from last year. With your help and contributions, we were able to raise a whopping $33,054.73!!
As president of the Committee I'd like to thank our committee members for organising such wonderful events that build connection within our community and create lasting memories for our children. What a great result!
Our committee is made up of a small group of working mums who have been contributing to the committee for years. Some members moved on last year with their children finishing their time at St Mary's and some will be moving on this year too. We are looking for parents to join us so that events can continue to run this year and into the future. Without this support, it is not possible to organise as many of our fundraising events as we would like.
Our group meets two Tuesdays a term from 7pm til 8pm, but attendance isn't required at every meeting. We are supportive, inclusive, have fun and continue to create ways that bring families together and give children opportunities for fun! If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of and want to find out more, please contact us at
parentsfriends@smaltona.catholic.edu.au .
If you are unable to commit but would like to consider other ways of supporting us, you could consider volunteering your time for events, filling out grants for school funding, finding a business to sponsor the school or events such as the Trivia Night or seek donation items to be raffled off at our Trivia Night and end of year concert.
Our next meeting is on the 12
th of May at 7pm in the staff room and will include pizza! We would love to see you there.
