News from the Parents and Friends Committee

Happy Friday everyone!

 

This week, the P & F Committee had our first meeting and we have already begun planning events for the year!

 

We were so happy so see so many parents stay for our First Day Morning Tea. The P & F Committee is about building community in our school so it was lovely to meet new families and catch up with parents after the summer break.

 

We have begun organising our very popular Easter Raffle. Raffle tickets will be distributed shortly to the eldest child in the family. There will be a casual clothes day coming up on Friday 13th March, where students come to school in casual clothes and bring in an Easter donation. We are hoping families can donate not only chocolates, but Easter themed items too. If you have any easter baskets or gift bags you are willing to donate, please bring them to the office. We are very grateful for any donations made. There will be a special assembly on Thursday the 2^nd of April at 12.30pm where the winners will be announced. We will also be giving Sonia our annual big cheque with the amount we raised last year. Parents are welcome to this assembly.

 

Our first Ladies Get Together is happening this Sunday at Bar Joliet from 2pm. Its a great opportunity to make new friends and get to know the lovely mums at our school. We hope to see you there!

 

Thank you to those who participated in our survey at the end of last year. The overwhelming feedback was that students are enjoying what we organise for the school. This meant a lot to committee members as we try to organise events that not only raise funds for our community but that also create memories for our children and parents too.

 

For anyone interested in joining our committee our meeting dates are listed on the school calendar. Our next meeting is on the 24^th of March. Meetings occur on a Tuesday night from 7-8pm at the school. There are lots of opportunities throughout the year to support our group by assisting in the running of events. This is greatly appreciated.
