New Uniform: FAQ

As we navigate through the transition to our new school uniform, we will continue to share uniform information through our eNews. Please contact us or Noone’s if you have any questions.

What colour socks do students wear with the new uniform?

The new school uniform features navy socks. This includes both the regular and sports uniform.

Students who are slowly transitioning to the new uniform have the option of still wearing white socks, but once students are in the full new uniform, it is expected that they wear navy socks.

Can my child wear the skort as part of the regular uniform (not sports uniform)?

The skort is only a part of the sports uniform. If students prefer to wear a skirt as part of their school uniform, there is a skirt option available for students in Years 4-6.

It’s a cold day but it’s summer. Can my child wear their winter uniform?

We have now moved to a system that does not have a strict summer and winter uniform. Children have the option of choosing from various pieces.

Our pieces are designed to be used as a capsule/wardrobe style where your child can mix and match according to the weather, preferences, and daily activities (eg some children don’t like to wear a dress if they intend to play on the monkey bars, some choose to wear shorts all year round)

The only stipulation we make is that the Sports Uniform is to be worn on your child’s class sports days.

As you can see from the photo below, a (gorgeous!) selection of our Prep students are in various versions of our uniform today and our lovely Despina is in her new winter uniform today.

I noticed there is not the option to purchase a legionnaire’s hat. Will this be a future consideration?

We have contacted Noone’s who will now add this to our list. We will let you know when it is available.

Noone’s did not have art smocks available. Will these be added?

Yes. We have asked Noone’s to include an art smock. Families are not obliged to buy this. You are free to supply your own. A plastic-based one is preferred as it is easy to clean and doesn’t bleed through to the uniform.

Can I buy one pair of shorts that are worn on both regular and sports days?

Our academic shorts are a different material to the sports shorts, so if your child prefers shorts you will need to buy both.

Do I need to buy the puffer jacket, soft shell and windcheater?

No. You are free to choose any of these as the outerwear option for your child. Some parents have bought both the windcheater for daily use and a puffer or soft shell for outdoors.  The choice is yours.

We are aware that these items are still on backorder. We apologise for the delay. In the meantime, your child can wear their old jacket or windcheater or a jacket from home if you don’t have an old one.

Why is there a white stitch across the hem of the dress?

This stitching is designed to keep the pleats together during storage but is to be removed prior to wearing the uniform. The pleats should not remain stitched together.
