Dear families,
How great to see the sea of Footy colours today. We had a wonderful time singing club songs and answering trivia questions in the hall. Even the non AFL supporters got right into the celebrations. A day like today couldn’t happen without the help of many people.
A very special thanks goes to Maree Ryan for organising the day. As you’ll appreciate, many hours go into a day like this and much of what Maree did was in her own time. Thanks also to Nicole Singleton who was Maree's right hand girl. Thanks also to the other staff who helped out to get the day up and running, in everything from face painting to supervising activities to counting the lunch order money, which while we are on it, thanks to Bec and Chris as Salt n Pepa for our great lunches.
We appreciated all of your Footy Fun Day donations. We raised $186 for Caritas.
We received varied feedback in response to our questions about changing school photographers. At this stage we have decided to remain with our current photographer for 2024. We do appreciate that some people were disappointed with the quality of the photos this year and were looking for a change of photographer as a result. If you have specific feedback that I can pass on to them for 2024 I’d appreciate it if you could email me.
Next week is our last week of school for Term 3. We’d like to remind families that school will finish at 1.30pm on Friday 15th September. There will be no canteen on this day and children will only need to bring their snack and brain food to school. The JSC are organising a Pyjama, Oodie, Hoodie and Uggs day. No gold coin donation is required. It's meant to just be a fun way to finish the term for all to say thanks for all the hard work that has happened over the term.
Term 4 will resume on Monday 2nd October at 8.45am.
We now have 13 families (6.4% of all families) who have completed the MACS School Improvement Survey (MACSSIS). As we use the data from the surveys to inform our planning for the future we would love to see many more responses. If you can’t locate the email sent to you, please let me know and I can resend your pin code and details of how to log on.
Lastly, we have had a couple of cases of COVID reported to us. Keep an eye out for symptoms and if your child is unwell, please keep them at home.
Wishing everyone a very peaceful and relaxing weekend and a happy last week of term.
Regards
Marg
