Exciting News - The First Edition of the St Mary’s Herald Is Here!

We are delighted to announce the publication of the very first edition of the
St Mary’s Herald!

This exciting new school newspaper was created by a dedicated team of Year 5/6 students, led by Leda, Iris, and Natalia. The team worked diligently throughout the term, often giving up their lunch play once a week, to write, edit, and revise the content.

A copy of the newspaper was sent home on Wednesday with the eldest child in each family. Additional copies are available at the school office if you'd like to pick one up.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as the students enjoyed creating it, and we look forward to sharing the next issue with you at the end of next term!

Cadbury Fundraising

Last week, we  distributed one Cadbury Fundraising box per family, in the hope that you will help your child(ren) sell them to family, friends and people within our local community.
Important information to note:
  • The eldest student will receive the box on behalf of their family.
  • Chocolates are to be sold at $1 per unit, totaling $60 for the box.
  • Money and/or unsold chocolates are to be returned to the office by no later than October 17th. The office will be ticking family names off on their return.
  • If families would like more chocolates to sell, please let the office know and this can be arranged.

Hats On!!!

St Marys is a SUN SMART SCHOOL. As such students and staff are required to wear sun smart hats from 1st September to the end of April regardless of whether the sun is out or not. This measure is part of our commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of our students during outdoor activities. Check out the widget at the bottom of our website which will guide you in the hours to especially check UV.

Please make sure your child has their school sun smart hat (legionnaire or wide brim) each day, at least until the end of April.

Thank you for your cooperation!
