A big congratulations to the students at St. Mary’s Primary School for their outstanding efforts in planting seedlings and reaping the rewards of their hard work this week.
As part of the Woolworths Land Care Grant, the students have demonstrated dedication and teamwork in growing their garden, learning valuable skills in sustainability, and contributing to the environment.
The week’s harvest was a testament to their commitment, with students proudly picking the fruits of their labor. This hands-on experience has not only taught them about gardening and sustainable practices but has also instilled a sense of pride in seeing their hard work come to fruition.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing their continued growth in future environmental initiatives. Well done to all involved!
Last night, our Prep and Year 6 students came together for an unforgettable Buddy Night! The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and it was truly heartwarming to see so many beautiful new friendships beginning to bloom—friendships we know will last for years to come.
A special shoutout to our amazing house captains, who worked tirelessly to organise a series of thrilling relay games that added an extra spark of fun to the evening. Their dedication both before and during the event made all the difference, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work and enthusiasm.
What a fantastic night of laughter, connection, and teamwork! Here's to many more memories like this ahead!

The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now open and St Mary’s is excited to be taking part!
The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 and aims to help young readers develop a lifelong love of reading.
It is not a competition; it is a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 5 September 2025.
Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.
This year, the Challenge is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the theme ‘20 years of words and wonder’ and a year of special activities. For details, follow the Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge Facebook
Since it began in 2005, more than 4.5 million young readers have taken part and together read more than 63 million books!
