St Mary's Students enjoy AFL Football Program

AFL Victoria Football Program

This week, St Mary’s students had a fantastic time participating in the AFL Victoria football program, as part of their physical education lessons.

Alana and James led the students through a range of enjoyable activities and games designed to build their skills and understanding of Australian Rules Football.

The program was tailored to engage all students, regardless of their experience level, and focused on developing key skills such as teamwork, coordination, and footy basics. The students thoroughly enjoyed every activity, from passing drills to mini-games, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm throughout the week.

Alana and James did a wonderful job of creating an inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring that each student felt involved and had fun. The games encouraged collaboration and sportsmanship, allowing students to form connections and develop confidence in their abilities.

The AFL Victoria football program has sparked a lot of excitement among the students, and we can’t wait for the footy season to officially begin. A big thank you to Alana and James for providing such a fun and enriching experience for our students. We look forward to more exciting opportunities in the future!

Craft Club

With the success of Crochet Club in 2024, we saw our middle and senior students create crochet masterpieces.
Craft Club will be returning in Week 3 of 2025. Craft Club will be open to students in grade 3 and above with regular special meetings for our younger students.

Taking on feedback from students, Craft Club will be an opportunity for students to learn and practice a range of crafts such as making friendship bracelets, beading and of course crochet. We welcome donations of good quality craft materials

Hats On!!!

St Marys is a SUN SMART SCHOOL and has been for 29 years.  As such students and staff are required to wear sun smart hats from 1st September to the end of April regardless of whether the sun is out or not.
This measure is part of our commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of our students during outdoor activities. Check out the widget at the bottom of our website which will guide you in the hours to especially check UV.

Please make sure your child has their school sun smart hat (legionnaire or wide brim) each day, at least until the end of April.

Thank you for your cooperation!
