Ride and Walk to School Day

Ride and Walk to School Week at St. Mary's Primary School

St. Mary's Primary School is excited to announce the upcoming Ride and Walk to School Day, taking place on Thursday, 21st November, we invite all students to participate by either walking or riding their bike to school.

This is a wonderful opportunity to promote healthy habits, reduce our environmental footprint, and encourage physical activity. Whether you walk, ride, or scooter to school, every student who participates will earn valuable House points for their team, making this a fun and friendly competition.

We encourage families to join in by walking or cycling together. Not only will you be supporting a great cause, but it’s also a chance to enjoy some quality time with your children before the school day begins. It’s a great way to start the morning off on the right foot—literally!

For those who may not be able to walk or cycle the whole way, consider parking a little further away from the school and walking the last few minutes. This helps reduce traffic congestion and promotes safe, active travel.

Let’s work together to make this event a success! Encourage your children to participate, earn House points, and enjoy the many benefits of walking or riding to school. We can’t wait to see everyone out and about on Thursday, 21st November!
