Wellbeing: Needing a little self-care?

Self-care is all about putting yourself and your needs first. It’s about knowing what serves you best and implementing that into your daily life.

Furthermore, self-care isn’t something you force yourself to do and it doesn’t involve doing things you don’t enjoy.

For example, a 5km a day run may be good for some people, but if the thought of it fills you with dread, then it definitely won’t serve you.

Self-care should leave you feeling refreshed, reenergised and with lower anxiety and stress levels than when you began.

Understanding what works for you personally is essential in creating a healthy life balance.

Feeling like you need a little self-care at the moment?

Introducing ~ Angela Hamilton Performing Arts

Hello Superstars!

I’m Angela Hamilton and this is my seventh year being a teacher here at St. Mary’s!

I am the Performing Arts specialist teacher and I also organise and run the St. Mary’s School Choir.

I was born in Footscray and brought up in Sunshine, where my parents still live.  I am the baby of my family so apparently I’m the spoiled one.

Although I’ve been a teacher for a very long time, I’ve also been a professional dancer, choreographer, Assistant Artistic Director for the National Children’s Dance Theatre and mum to two boys and two girls, (and two of them are teachers as well.)

I love going on adventures and discovering new things, I can’t wait until we can all start doing this again. The children and families at St. Mary’s have been wonderful in making me smile and laugh and I am very happy being part of such a lovely community.
