Welcome Back to Term 4

How wonderful that we will all be back onsite from 12th October!

We are very much looking forward to welcoming all students from Prep - 6 back to school.

Please look out for an Operoo (Care Monkey) note from Sonia detailing what will happen next week, our first week of Term 4 and in Week 2.
In brief...

Remote Learning will continue for Week 1: 5 - 9 October.  School will be open for children of essential workers and those who fit the definition of vulnerable, as per Term 3's definition.

All students (Prep - 6) will return to onsite learning from 12th October.  We will be sending information about how this will look next week some time once we have further information from Catholic Education Melbourne.

If you have any questions, please contact either Sonia (principal@smaltona.catholic.edu.au) or Marg mmasseni@smaltona.catholic.edu.au

Resources for Parents: Webinars

Recently we have been notified about a couple of webinars for parents that you might find useful as the children move back to learning at school.

One is hosted by Andrew Fuller, clinical psychologist and family therapist. He will speak about "How to get you child's learning mojo back". Take a look at this link for further details. The webinar is free and will be held on Monday 12th October from 7 - 8pm.

Catholic Schools Parents Victoria (CSPV ) are presenting their Connect Webinar Series for parents. These webinars are primarily for parents and promise to be engaging events that could promote an ongoing conversation with parents and staff. You may want to promoted these events in your school communities.

Our School's App: Updat-ed

After taking on board requests from members of the community, we have decided to increase our usage of our School App - Updat-ed.  It will become the medium we use for sending quick alerts & reminders about school events and to update you, if for example the bus coming home from camp is late.
When we send an alert, your phone will ping and the message will land in the ALERTS folder.
Another feature of the app is the EVENTS folder. In it you'll find all our calendar dates. Just click on an event to save it directly into your phone's calendar. Easy!

Click on the images below to download Updat-ed, or visit the App Store for iphones and Google Play for Androids. Search for Updat-ed.

If you already have the current app there is no need to download it again.

If you have any questions about the app, please don't hesitate to contact me.
